HOW TO POSITION YOUR IMAGE

IMPORTANT: Please use the Edit tool when uploading your image.

Using the pencil/edit tool, you can move and reposition your image to avoid heads or faces being too close to the top of the slate.

Please check the positioning carefully before placing your order.

 

YOUR IMAGE

Please make sure your image is suitable for the area provided.

When adding names, please enter all the names you require in the Personalisation box. Please bear in mind that the more names you add — or the longer the names are — the smaller the text may need to be.

If you have any special instructions regarding your design, please let us know either in the Personalisation box or in the Notes at checkout.

PHOTO QUALITY

Please check your image carefully before placing your order.

We cannot be held responsible for poor-quality images that are uploaded and approved at checkout. Unfortunately, we do not have the original photograph to compare it against, so we cannot know whether an image has been uploaded in its original quality.

Please be particularly mindful of:

• Blurry photographs
• Low-resolution images
• Screenshots
• Old or heavily pixelated photographs

If you use an old photograph, the original image quality may be low, and this can affect the finished product.

Please note: We are not trained photo editors, so we do not edit or enhance photographs. We print the image exactly as it is supplied to us.

COLOURS & FINISH

Please be aware that photo quality and colours may vary slightly.

These products use a transfer process rather than standard photographic printing, so the final colours and appearance can differ slightly from what you see on your screen. Variations can occur due to the inks, transfer process and the material being printed onto.

 

SLATE INFORMATION

The 19cm photo slate is a natural slate product and is very fragile.

Your slate comes with 2 feet/stands to allow the slate to stand upright. These are not coasters.

The coaster comes with 4 rubber feet to help prevent marking the surface it is placed on.

NATURAL SLATE

Please remember that slate is a natural material and each piece will be unique.

Your photo is transferred directly onto the natural slate, so you may notice:

• Natural imperfections
• Small lumps or uneven areas
• Surface marks
• Minor scuffs or variations

These are part of the natural character of the slate and are not considered faults.

COASTERS

Coasters are considerably smaller than the larger slates. Because the design area is more compact, more of the original image/design may be cropped or lost around the edges.

Please keep this in mind when choosing and positioning your photograph.

 

GLASS CHOPPING BOARD

Please be aware that the finished appearance of the glass chopping board will differ from the slate.

The image is printed onto the back of the glass rather than the front, meaning there is a layer of glass in front of the image. This can make the finished image appear lighter or slightly different in colour compared with the original image or a slate product.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Please do not leave your chopping board soaking in water for long periods.

To clean, use a slightly damp, soft cloth to gently wipe the surface.

Do not wipe or scrub the printed back of the chopping board, as this could scratch or damage the photograph.

Although this product is supplied as a chopping board, you can also choose to use it purely as a large glass photo/display piece if you prefer.

The chopping board comes with 4 rubber feet to help protect the surface it is placed on.
